The Milwaukee Bucks were able to move past a very competitive Los Angeles Clippers team on Monday night, beating Kawhi Leonard and his squad, 113-106.
They did so because of the power of Damian Lillard and Bobby Portis but not because of Giannis Antetokounmpo, who sat out of the game because of Achilles issues.
But speaking on Tuesday’s “Run It Back,” Shams Charania said that Antetokounmpo’s injury isn’t something to be too concerned about.
“The Bucks aren’t seeming overly worried about this situation, it’s Achilles soreness that they’re describing it as,” Charania said.

Achilles “soreness” is very different and far less severe than a number of injuries that can flare up for that problematic and crucial part of the body.
Every report says that the Bucks don’t think this is something very serious and Antetokounmpo could be back very soon, perhaps for the team’s next game.
But any time an NBA fan hears about their favorite players having any sort of issue with their Achilles, they get nervous.
This is especially true when it comes to Antetokounmpo, who is still the most prominent player for the Bucks.
With that being said, Monday night’s game against the Clippers proved that the team can still take down one of their strongest opponents even without Antetokounmpo.
While that is possible, they certainly don’t want to make it a habit, and the Bucks hope their eight-time All-Star is back quickly.
Milwaukee has now won six games in a row and hasn’t been defeated since the All-Star break.
There were a lot of questions and concerns about this team going into that break but they have seemed to work out their issues under new head coach Doc Rivers.
The team is looking good, they just need their biggest star back.
Thankfully for them, it sounds like he will be returning soon.
