Super Bowl LIX will be a rematch from two years ago when the Philadelphia Eagles built a 10-point halftime lead, only to see it evaporate before Harrison Butker of the Kansas City Chiefs hit the game-winning field goal with time running out.
The Eagles have one of the NFL’s best rosters, while the Chiefs have quarterback Patrick Mahomes, who is a living legend and looking to add to his already impressive resume by winning a fourth Vince Lombardi Trophy and a historic third in a row.
However, it is cold and flu season, and there reportedly is something spreading across both teams with just days to go before kickoff.

Most notably, Carter, a second-year defensive tackle who made the Pro Bowl this season, has been hit by the illness.
As long as players don’t have severe symptoms, one should generally expect them to be able to play, especially considering that this will be the biggest game of their lives.
Kansas City likely will never again have the opportunity to win three Super Bowl championships in a row, and no one knows if Philadelphia will get any type of opportunity to win the title again if they lose this time.
This year’s big game will take place in New Orleans, where the weather has been unusually warm these days, but no one is immune from coming down with a cold or flu.
