The Phoenix Suns will look different in the new season, but one thing will stay the same: Devin Booker will be at the center of all their plans.
With Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal out the door, Booker will have more responsibilities in 2025-26.
Writing on X, Evan Sidery said that Booker “as the primary scorer and playmaker for Phoenix, 30+ points and 8 assists per game is a plausible reality here.”
He noted that Booker will probably have a +30 percent usage rate in the new season now that Durant is gone.
Devin Booker will be back carrying a +30% usage rate as the Suns’ No. 1 scoring option after two full years alongside Kevin Durant.

Losing Durant will require some adjustments, but it could be a huge opportunity for Booker.
Before the arrival of Durant and Beal, he was seen as the team’s de facto leader and most important scorer.
Durant is one of the best shooters of all time, so of course the Suns relied on him more often.
But now he has moved on to the Houston Rockets, and Booker will have to step up and do more.
The team will belong to Booker again, and he could earn a lot more attention, especially if the Suns do well.
Phoenix will revolve around him, for better or worse.
If the Suns thrive in 2025-26, Booker will be hailed as a hero and will receive a ton of praise.
But if they fall short again, there will be talk about him not being able to do it on his own.
No one is sure if next season will be an improvement for the Suns, but everyone can agree they will be seeing a lot more of Booker.
