There are only a handful of weeks left for teams in the NBA to wheel and deal in order to improve their rosters for the second half of the regular season and the NBA playoffs that will follow.
The NBA trade deadline is on February 8, with plenty of teams showing interest in bringing in notable players to bolster their rosters and improve their chances of winning a title this season or at least making a deep run in the postseason.
One team that has been on the rise ever since it acquired budding star Tyrese Haliburton has been the Indiana Pacers, with the team making some noise in the league’s first-ever In-Season Tournament and being a team that could compete for a high seed in the Eastern Conference.
Apparently, the Pacers view star forward Pascal Siakam of the Toronto Raptors as a potential missing piece to the puzzle in Indiana, and the team is willing to pay a hefty toll in order to bring in the one-time NBA champion, according to Bleacher Report’s Eric Pincus via NBACentral.

The Pacers have been trying to move Buddy Hield for years, so it’s no surprise that the team would dangle arguably their best shooter in this trade proposal, but adding the recently signed Bruce Brown Jr. is a bit surprising after bringing him in during NBA free agency this past summer.
As Pincus suggests, it’ll be interesting to see if this is enough to land Siakam or another notable player like Kyle Kuzma of the Washington Wizards.
