Luka Doncic has been working hard during the offseason, and the Los Angeles Lakers love what they see from him.
He hasn’t been getting in shape solely so he can run faster and live longer; he is doing it so the team can win as much as possible, as soon as possible.
Appearing on ESPN, Dave McMenamin talked about Doncic’s mentality.
“I spoke to someone close to Luka over the weekend, and they told me that Luka’s mentality is win now,” McMenamin said, via Oh No He Didn’t.

McMenamin stated that Doncic wants to win next season, and the season after that, and the season after that.
As long as he is wearing a Lakers jersey, he wants his team to be the best in the West.
And when he says “win,” he means go all the way to a championship.
Doncic is doing his part and is getting in the best shape possible.
That means the team will be able to rely on him as much as possible, and he should be able to make an impact for hopefully all 82 games.
The Lakers’ front office is also working hard, too.
They have been making roster adjustments that should help the team, including a few that Doncic personally had a hand in, like the acquisitions of Marcus Smart and Deandre Ayton.
This team is forming around Doncic, and he is seemingly ready to be their leader.
The Western Conference is crowded and competitive, and nothing will be easy for the Lakers.
But that won’t stop Doncic from aiming for his lofty goals in the new season.
