Fans of the Philadelphia 76ers are hoping to get some clarity about Joel Embiid’s health and future.
Sadly, they aren’t going to receive any answers from the team.
Shams Charania appeared on ESPN and revealed that no one is sure about what is next for Embiid.
His return date is still unknown as he attempts to mend his knee and prepare for a long season.
“My understanding is even the Philadelphia 76ers don’t know exactly when Joel Embiid is going to play, when he’s not gonna be playing. The reality is his knee issues have been debilitating. He’s essentially going to have to master learning how to play through issues, pain thresholds any given day. They just don’t know quite yet,” Charania said.

This is essentially the worst news that 76ers fans could hear.
So, not only is Opening Night seemingly off the table for Embiid, but there is no firm return date in mind.
Charania says that Embiid needs to learn how to play through this pain, which means that it’ll never go away.
It seems that no surgery or time off will fully heal his knee problems, and they will be a constant problem for the foreseeable future.
This raises a ton of questions, and people are wondering if he’ll ever play like he used to
Some are so concerned that they fear he might not ever come back, and the 76ers could be without him forever.
Philadelphia will have to figure out what they are going to do.
They cannot make definitive plans if their biggest player is always a question mark.
This situation isn’t getting better, and it’s casting a lot of doubt on Embiid, his future, and what’s next for the 76ers.
Fans wanted to see Embiid play a full season, but that isn’t happening.
