Major League Baseball news has been focused on an offseason that has seen multiple big-time players change teams via trade or free agency.
While offseason transactions are still drawing much attention, the 2025 Baseball Hall of Fame voting is also gaining some notice.
The voting can be confusing for somebody who is not familiar with the process, but the hopeful players likely understand it completely.
One player is hoping to get inducted this year after receiving just 10.5 percent of the votes back in his first year on the ballot.
MLB insider Jon Morosi recently provided an update on Billy Wagner’s chances of getting into the Hall of Fame this year.

The rules for the Hall of Fame state a player needs 75 percent of the votes cast to get elected.
Wagner debuted in 1995 with the Houston Astros and played 16 seasons in his MLB career for five organizations.
The career stats for Wager include appearing in 853 games with 422 saves, a 2.31 ERA and 1,196 strikeouts in 903.0 innings pitched.
He last played in the 2010 season, first appeared on the Hall of Fame ballot in 2016 and is facing his 10-year limit in this part of the voting process.
Morosi indicated that the polls are looking good for Wagner this year, and he will find out if he made the cut when the announcement is made Tuesday night.
It will be interesting to see the class of players that get voted into the Hall of Fame this year.
