The New England Patriots are having one of the worst seasons imaginable.
There were many questions surrounding the Patriots headed into this year.
The most prominent was: What would they get from quarterback Mac Jones?
Jones has proceeded to have his worst year as a pro which is a big reason why the Patriots have struggled.
With New England sitting at 2-9 on the year, changes need to be made in the offseason.
It seems likely that Patriots owner Robert Kraft will move on from legendary head coach Bill Belichick this offseason.
But, former NFL executive Michael Lombardi thinks Belichick still wants to coach even if it is not New England.
On “The Pat McAfee Show,” Lombardi said: “Bill Belichick still wants to prove that he’s a really good coach and he’ll go somewhere else.”

Many teams should be interested in Belichick if he does hit the open market.
He has a long track record of success, and he should be looking to go somewhere with a strong roster.
Belichick should not take all the blame for the shortcomings in New England.
He has poor quarterback play and an overall bad roster to work with.
It may be best for the organization and Belichick if they mutually part ways at season’s end.
New England looks destined for a long rebuild, and Belichick should want no part of that.
Dynasties are not meant to last forever.
The Patriots had a great 20-year run, but their years of winning seasons have come to an end.
