It was a rough start to the 2023 NFL season, but the Denver Broncos are suddenly one of the hottest teams in the league right now as they’ve managed to reel off a four-game winning streak and are in the hunt for a playoff spot.
Despite trading away some players at the trade deadline, the Broncos have been able to tough out wins thanks to a competent offense and a defensive resurgence.
Denver was able to hold on against a surging Minnesota Vikings team in Week 11 as they pulled out a hard-earned 21-20 victory.
Russell Wilson hasn’t been quite the superstar he used to be, but he’s been serviceable as he’s taking care of the football and making the smart plays.
However, the defense has been the real hero of the season as they’ve hit a groove and are shutting down opposing teams.
Despite their success, the defense will be without veteran Kareem Jackson, who had his four-game suspension upheld and will forfeit a large sum of money, via Adam Schefter of ESPN and Zac Stevens of DNVR Broncos.

Kareem Jackson’s four-game suspension will cost him over $550,000.
His total fines/missed pay will be just under $1,000,000.

Jackson was suspended four games for committing multiple unnecessary roughness penalties and the total amount in fines has to hurt.
The safety tried to appeal his suspension and negotiate it down to two games, but after reviewing it the league determined that the original length of the suspension is warranted.
