Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams has been the talk of the league this week as he has become the first high-profile star to request a trade this season.
Fans and media have jumped all over the news and started getting excited about where Adams could wind up, but one insider recently named the team that has been pushing hardest to bring him in.
NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport shared that the New Orleans Saints have been the “most aggressive team” in their pursuit of Adams so far with the New York Jets still reportedly atop Adams’ wish list.

It’s no surprise the Saints and Jets are at the front of the line for the Adams sweepstakes given his familiarity with quarterbacks Aaron Rodgers and Derek Carr, but Rapoport also wrote in his NFL.com article that the Pittsburgh Steelers and Buffalo Bills are also heavily in the mix to acquire the star receiver.
Rapoport also shared that Adams should be healthy and recovered from his hamstring injury next week, so it shouldn’t prove to be any potential holdup in a trade.
Adams has 18 catches for 207 yards and a touchdown through three games and played all 17 games in each of his first two years with the Raiders, catching over 100 passes each year for 22 combined touchdowns.
The Saints have the league’s highest-scoring offense but could use another weapon at wide receiver alongside Chris Olave and Rashid Shaheed.
Adams would be a logical fit if they can pull it off and could give them the advantage they need to win the NFC South.
