The Phoenix Suns lost Devin Booker the other day to an ankle injury but it’s expected that he should be back in about seven to ten days.
However, Booker’s latest absence brings up a very pressing, troubling point about the team.
On “#thisleague UNCUT,” via FOX Sports Radio, Marc Stein reminded listeners that Phoenix’s big three of Booker, Kevin Durant, and Bradly Beal have only played 23 games together this season.
He said it’s very possible that the trio enters the playoffs next month having only played together for less than 30 games.

There is no doubt that Booker, Durant, and Beal are terrific basketball players and huge assets to the team.
At the same time, they need a lot of time to work together and feel comfortable competing with each other.
When Beal was brought to the team in the summer, fans were told that the league’s newest and strongest big three had arrived.
But injuries have repeatedly prevented this group from working together and really impressing.
The Suns are the sixth seed in the West with a 35-26 record, which is below where they wanted to be at this point in the season.
Fans can’t help but wonder how things would be right now if Booker, Durant, and Beal had been healthy all season long.
Booker should hopefully be back by the end of the week but there is legitimate concern that he or another player on the team will be injured again soon.
The Suns can’t seem to shake their bad luck when it comes to losing players and it is preventing them from reaching their true potential.
