The Philadelphia Eagles came into the offseason needing to answer several questions after the team limped toward the finish line in 2023.
After a promising 10-1 start, the Eagles seemed to lose their confidence and cohesion after losses to fellow NFC contenders in the Dallas Cowboys and San Francisco 49ers.
Philadelphia’s defense was the biggest issue as it took a major step back compared to the year prior.
The secondary was routinely torched in the passing game, though the Eagles’ front seven still managed to cause some trouble for opposing offenses.
Veteran pass rusher Haason Reddick had another terrific year in the final year of his contract and is expected to receive a hefty raise.
Philadelphia doesn’t seem inclined to pay him on a new deal and is likely to trade him to either the Arizona Cardinals or the Atlanta Falcons via Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.
“The Eagles are expected to trade Haason Reddick this offseason. Arizona and Atlanta have been named as the top potential landing spots,” Fowler reported.

Both the Cardinals and Falcons need pass rush help after struggling in that department last season, and Reddick is arguably the best player available via trade.
The Eagles could recoup some much-needed draft capital by dealing Reddick, though it remains to be seen if any other suitors will emerge between now and the draft.
At 29 years old, this is likely be Reddick’s last chance to cash in on his play and it’ll be interesting to see which team ends up pulling the trigger on a deal to land his services.
