The Philadelphia Eagles are set to face the Green Bay Packers in the wild-card round.
While the Eagles did get quarterback Jalen Hurts back at practice, they were without wide receiver DeVonta Smith.
“The WR has some back tightmess, from what I understand, and the Eagles don’t want to have him out in the cold conditions,” Jeff McLane of The Philadelphia Inquirer wrote on X.
DeVonta Smith won’t be at practice today. The WR has some back tightness, from what I understand, and the #Eagles don’t want to have him out in the cold conditions.

If the Eagles hope to take care of business at home against the Packers, they are going to need everyone healthy.
Smith is a massive piece of the offense and is up there with wide receiver A.J. Brown and running back Saquon Barkley.
The two-time 1,000-yard receiver did miss four games this season, otherwise, he likely would’ve eclipsed the milestone again.
He wound up with 68 receptions for 833 yards and a career-best eight touchdowns and is always a factor anytime he steps onto the field.
The Packers finished the regular season ranked fifth in total defense and could pose a real threat to the Eagles’ Super Bowl aspirations.
Smith did catch seven passes for 84 yards in the Week 1 game between the teams in Brazil, which was won by Philadelphia.
If it hopes to replicate the same result, Smith likely needs to make an impact.
