The Golden State Warriors haven’t given up on their championship aspirations.
Their recent acquisition of Dennis Schroder signals a clear intent to make another run at the Larry O’Brien Trophy, with their hopes firmly anchored in Stephen Curry’s remarkable ability to maintain his elite-level performance.
However, not everyone shares their optimism, with one local analyst offering a sobering assessment of the Warriors’ title chances.
“The window is shut. Until someone that the Warriors can trade for, comes in and opens it for Curry to step through. Because right now, they’re not winning a title. And if that’s what you think the window is, the window is shut,” Evan Giddings said, via 95.7 The Game.

Giddings emphasized that without a significant roster addition, championship contention seems unlikely.
The 2024-25 NBA season started with immense promise for the Warriors, who won 12 of their first 15 games to ignite hopes of a renaissance season.
However, the narrative has shifted dramatically since then. Despite a recent victory against the Philadelphia 76ers, the Warriors find themselves ninth in the Western Conference at 17-16.
It’s a far cry from that early-season form, casting doubt on their ability to mount a serious championship challenge without significant changes.
