The Green Bay Packers can’t seem to catch a break in 2022.
Their offseason would see them dumping players to get under the salary cap.
They would later lose Davante Adams, who they would trade to the Las Vegas Raiders.
Now they are dealing with multiple injuries just weeks before the NFL preseason begins.
However, the worse part about these injuries would be the players who are out.
So what players are out and how can it affect the Packers come week one of the regular season?
Robert Tonyan And Christian Watson Both On PuP List
Two players the Packers need when the regular season begins are Robert Tonyan and Christian Watson.
Watson is the Packers top receiver from this year’s draft, and someone who they need as their receiver core is without Adams.
Tonyan is their tight end who the team needs to get back into his top form from 2020, where he had 52 receptions for 586 yards and 11 touchdowns.

I think many of us are overlooking the incredible season-long performance Robert Tonyan put together in 2020.

With both of them on the physically unable to perform list, they are missing out on important reps before preseason begins.
However, both players’ injuries come from different times, as Tonyan has been recovering from an ACL injury since last season.
But the injury with Watson is a right knee issue that he’s had since team practices in June ended.
While their turn might happen before the season begins, them missing out on practice could set back their timing with Aaron Rodgers.
With these two players likely to receive more targets with Adams gone, they need chemistry with Rodgers.
However, two important parts of the Packers offensive line are also missing before the NFL preseason begins.
Elgton Jenkins And David Bakhtiari Are Both Recovering From Knee Injuries
Two key players for the Packers’ offensive line in 2022 are both recovering from ACL injuries they suffered last season.
Elgton Jenkins’ ACL injury came during a game against the Vikings in November of last year, while David Bakhtiari suffered his during the last game of the season.

However, reports showing Jenkins “ahead of schedule” for his return are an enormous relief for Green Bay.
But the Bakhtiari injury might push his return past the start of the NFL season.
If either of these two players miss out on opening day, it could spell trouble for Rodgers.
Rodgers Needs All These Players To Be Efficient In 2022
While some Packers fans will ignore the writing on the wall, those who see the writing know what’s about to happen
Adams was the biggest part of the Packers’ offense over the past two years, accounting for one-third of their passing offense.
Without him, Rodgers is forced to rely on young talent and his offensive line to protect him.
However, he’ll have less protection and other offensive players that don’t even measure up to Adams and his talent.
If those four players don’t make a fast recovery, Rodgers might have major issues this season.
With the regular season less than six weeks away, time is ticking on Rodgers’ time as the defending MVP champion.
