Kyrie Irving is one of the most polarizing figures in NBA history.
But regardless of how anybody feels about him, there’s absolutely no one who can deny that he’s one of the most gifted, impactful, and special scorers this game has ever seen.
And according to former teammate Iman Shumpert, the scariest part about Kyrie is that he doesn’t even have a plan when he’s going against any other player; he just has so many counter moves and resources that he’ll actually allow the defender to dictate what he’s going to do.

Shumpert broke down some of Kyrie’s go-to moves, and how he always has something else in his bag to make the most of every minor inch of space he gets when he’s being guarded.
He can Euro-step his way to the rim and has an unlimited layup package to finish with either hand, he can pull up, and he’s also an elite facilitator when he sets his mind to it.
Irving has perhaps the greatest handles in the history of the game, not to mention the footwork of a seven-footer in the body of a guard.
He just has so many ways of putting the rock inside of the basket that he doesn’t even need to think about what he’s going to do beforehand; it just comes naturally to him.
That’s why regardless of all the controversies and his character, teams will continue to give him another chance and throw him a big bag of money at his feet; he’s just that good.
