The Pittsburgh Steelers acquired another WR1 in the offseason.
The fans grew excited about the prospect of having D.K. Metcalf and George Pickens wreaking havoc in the open field.
Clearly, that will no longer be the case, as the Steelers just traded the troublemaking Pickens to the Dallas Cowboys.
Of course, that might not be an appealing situation for Aaron Rodgers, who has yet to make a decision about whether he will sign with the Steelers or not.
With that in mind, Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network reports that the Steelers might not be done in the wide receiver market.
“I would be surprised if the Steelers are done at the receiver position,” Rapoport said.

Per Rapoport, the Steelers would’ve entertained the thought of trading Pickens regardless of whether they got Rodgers.
The Steelers have struggled on offense for years now, and they don’t have that much talent in their WR corps.
Pickens was expected to be their next alpha wide receiver, but he failed to live up to those expectations.
The talent is most definitely there, but he made the rounds more often for his antics, temper tantrums, social media activity, and scuffles on the field than for his production.
Mike Tomlin has dealt with enough volatile-character players to know when it’s time to pull the plug, and it seemed like Pickens wasn’t that happy there.
The Steelers are reportedly still confident in their ability to land Rodgers, but even if that’s the case, they will have to make some moves to bolster their ever-struggling offense and end their playoff win drought once and for all.
