The New York Jets travel to Lambeau Field to take on the Green Bay Packers in the second week of the 2021 NFL preseason.
The storyline for the Jets since the draft has been about their young quarterback Zach Wilson who got off to a slow start in training camp but appears to be finding his stride after last week’s preseason game against the New York Giants.

In other young quarterback news, this was to be the long-awaited game for Packers backup quarterback Jordan Love to finally take a game’s worth of NFL snaps.
With all of the offseason talk about Aaron Rodgers, Love’s role was unclear until just a few weeks ago.
Nevertheless, the Packers want to see what he has, but he got injured so the Love watch is on hold.
#Packers QB Jordan Love is unlikely to play in Saturday's preseason game vs. the #Jets due to a shoulder injury suffered last week. Kurt Benkert would be the next man up.

Joint Practices This Week
The Jets and Packers had joint practices this week.
Wilson was seen talking with Rodgers; that is good company to keep to learn the ropes of NFL quarterbacking.

Rodgers is not expected to play in Saturday’s game.
With Love also out, third-string quarterback Kurt Benkert, 26, will likely get a lot of playing time.
Saturday’s game will still be the battle of young quarterbacks, just not the one we expected for the Packers.
