For millions of fans around the world, the Los Angeles Angels‘ Shohei Ohtani is a global star and a baseball ambassador.
And they are right: he is the face of the sport.
But he is also a regular guy, just like all of us.
He loves to have fun, he has a weird, yet fascinating sense of humor, he always has a smile in his face, and he likes to joke around.
He is humble, and he likes simple things just like the rest of the world.
During a warmup session prior to a game against the Chicago White Sox, the pitcher was tossing a ball to one of the outfield walls.
There was a net right next to the wall, and some White Sox fans behind it.
Ohtani was throwing the ball to the wall, and then tossed it to the net, particularly spooking one White Sox fan who thought he was going to get hit on the face.
A Hilarious Moment
The moment sparked a few laughs among the people present in the spot, including some fellow White Sox fans and an Angels trainer.
“Shohei Ohtani having some fun with White Sox fans while scaring them a bit in the process. Watch this without smiling or laughing. You can’t,” MLB analyst Ben Verlander tweeted.
This is incredible 😂😂😂

Ohtani himself was having a wonderful time joking around with the fans.
Everything is going smoothly for the Angels this season.
Mike Trout is healthy and producing, they improved the pitching staff, and Ohtani remains a star-level player.
He is struggling a bit as a hitter, with a .226/.280/.398 line and four homers.
However, he is getting the job done on the mound, with a 4.19 ERA and 30 strikeouts in 19.1 innings.
More importantly, the Angels are 15-9, leaders of the AL West division.
