One of the many top prospects in the Baltimore Orioles‘ system made his Major League debut last night against the Cleveland Guardians.
Shortstop Gunnar Henderson was recently called up and added to the taxi squad before being activated in time for the third game of the O’s’ four-game set out in Cleveland.
And he wasted no time getting himself acclimated to Major League life.
In the top of the fourth inning, with Baltimore leading by a run, Henderson sent one out to right-center field for his first career home run.
Even better, his helmet flew off as he swung the bat and he got to show off some of the best hair in all of baseball.

Welcome To The Show, Gunnar Henderson
What’s better than hitting a home run in your Major League debut?
This is the best way Henderson could have possibly started off his career.
It was also his first ever Major League hit.
And getting to show off his hair was just the icing on the cake.
The Orioles have a wealth of young talent in their system and on their roster.
It seems like they just get better as they try to get even younger.
Henderson is one of many exciting young players in the Orioles’ system.
Add his home run to the list of exciting moments the Orioles have gotten to witness this season from their crop of young stars.
The Orioles have been a surprise contender this season thanks in large part to their young stars.
Henderson is up with the big-league club at just the right time as the O’s seek to reach the postseason for the first time since 2016.
We’ll see if Henderson can hit some more blasts.
