The Cleveland Guardians Twitter account is one of the funniest in baseball.
Its timeline is full of fresh tweets and useful bits of information.
One of their most recent tweets is about Josh Naylor’s incredible summer.
If you don’t recall correctly, Naylor started off the season in a deep slump, like most of the Guardians’ best hitters.
However, he caught fire in late May and still hasn’t stopped hitting to this day.
The Guards want to make it very clear.
“Since some of you still aren’t paying attention, Josh Naylor has been, arguably, the best hitter in baseball since the end of May. We’ll just scream it from the rooftops, we guess,” they wrote, with a graphic that illustrates just how good the older Naylor has been for Cleveland this year.

Since May 30, Naylor has eight home runs and 43 RBI.
That’s very impressive, especially the run production part.
However, the stat that should really raise eyebrows everywhere is his .395 batting average since that day.
That’s even higher than Luis Arraez, for reference.
It’s also a 39-game sample, so it’s definitely not insignificant.
Naylor is very good at putting the bat on the ball, and he does have some power, too.
He has been one of the most valuable members of the Guardians roster and a big reason why they are actually contending for the AL Central lead.
Everybody talks about Jose Ramirez and Andres Gimenez in Cleveland, and for good reason.
However, that makes Naylor one of MLB’s most underrated contact hitters.
