The new season hasn’t even started yet, but things are already looking rough for the Memphis Grizzlies.
They already announced that Jaren Jackson Jr., Brandon Clarke, and Zach Edey are recovering from injuries, and now another name has been added to that list.
The team revealed that Ja Morant suffered a sprained left ankle during practice over the weekend and is now considered week-to-week.
If Morant is out for a considerable amount of time, Memphis will be in a very unfortunate situation.
Per Grizzlies team spokesperson: Ja Morant suffered a sprained left ankle in practice yesterday. He is considered week-to-week.

Last season, Morant averaged 23.2 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 7.3 assists.
It is important to note, however, that he only appeared in 50 games.
And in the season before that, Morant only participated in nine games because of injury and a league suspension.
In fact, Morant has never participated in all 82 games of a season.
The closest he came was in his rookie year, when he suited up for 67 matches.
Morant has had a hard time staying healthy, and that has repeatedly hurt his team’s chances.
There is a possibility that Morant will heal from this and be ready to start the season on Opening Night, but there are worries that this is the start of another season riddled with serious injury issues to Memphis’ biggest star.
If he’s hurt and others like Jackson and Edey also can’t remain healthy, the season could be over before it ever begins.
Fans will be patiently waiting for more news about Morant.
The new season is quickly approaching, and there is a grave worry that the Grizzlies will be decimated when it starts.
