The Memphis Grizzlies were paying close attention to the NBA Summer League, and they loved the work from one young star.
On Sunday, Shams Charania reported that the Grizzlies are signing forward PJ Hall to a two-way deal.
During his Summer League run with the Charlotte Hornets, Hall produced 24.2 points and 14.7 rebounds on 65.5 percent from the field per 36 minutes.

Hall has spent one season in the NBA, playing for the Denver Nuggets.
And while he did very well during this year’s Summer League, his regular season numbers tell a different tale.
He averaged just 1.7 points and 1.2 rebounds during the 2024-25 season.
So, those who are hoping for his Summer League numbers during the regular season need to keep their expectations in check.
No matter what he does for the Grizzlies in the season ahead, Hall clearly has talent.
Now it’s just a question of how much time he gets on the court.
That is hard to tell, especially with the Grizzlies.
They are undergoing some noteworthy changes, and they could commit to more, which might open a pathway for Hall.
Plus, injuries always seem to be a problem for the squad, so he could find more opportunities to step up in 2025-26.
Hall made the most out of his time in the Summer League and obviously left a huge impression.
This signing is proof that the Summer League can be very consequential for certain players.
The Grizzlies want more frontcourt support, and they are convinced Hall can help with that.
