After their record dropped to 1-5 following a Week 6 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, most assumed any hopes the Denver Broncos had of making the playoffs in 2023 were all but gone.
But ever since that loss to the Chiefs, the Broncos were able to fix whatever needed to be fixed, and after defeating the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday, Denver has now won six of their last seven games.
Following the Broncos’ win over the Chargers, CBS Sports revealed on Twitter that Denver’s 6-1 record since Week 7 is tied for the best in the NFL with the Baltimore Ravens and Dallas Cowboys (via NFL on CBS on Twitter).

These types of midseason turnarounds don’t typically happen in the NFL.
Sure, teams recover from a poor start and get back on track, but these starts usually involve a team winning more than just one of their first six games.
Thanks to their impressive turnaround, the Broncos now find themselves right in the thick of the hunt for a spot in this season’s AFC playoff bracket.
Denver is currently the No. 9 seed in the AFC playoff picture, with the Houston Texans, Pittsburgh Steelers, and Indianapolis Colts ahead of them in the standings.
The Texans, Steelers, and Colts all lost in Week 14 while the Broncos won, so Denver certainly has a better shot at making the postseason heading into their Week 15 game against the Detroit Lions.
Can the Broncos keep their hot streak going, or will they run out of steam before the end of the season and be left on the outside of the playoffs?
