The Los Angeles Lakers have made a lot of noise during this NBA offseason, with the storied franchise taking an uncharacteristic approach to building its roster ahead of the 2023-24 campaign.
Usually, the Lakers are linked to all the big-name players around the league that have demanded trades or are rumored to be traded at some point during the summer, but this year has been different, and the new strategy may really pay off.
Even though Chris Paul and superstars Damian Lillard and James Harden were available on the trade market, the Lakers front office has prioritized keeping its roster relatively intact while adding a few key role players into the mix.
Although it remains to be seen whether this new-look roster can compete for a title in the stacked Western Conference, the Lakers look good on paper and might pose a threat to the Phoenix Suns and Denver Nuggets next season.
Basketball Forever took to Twitter to show what the Lakers roster looks like as currently constructed, and it’s a mix of superstars, veterans, and role players that might be a recipe for success in Los Angeles.

The most significant move the Lakers made in NBA free agency was signing point guard Gabe Vincent, who burst on the scene with the Miami Heat this past season and helped them reach the NBA Finals.
Along with bringing in Vincent, the Lakers were able to reach new deals with Austin Reaves, Rui Hachimura, and D’Angelo Russell, which makes them a team with some incredible depth, especially in the backcourt.
With two more roster spots open, Los Angeles is expected to sign one more frontcourt player and leave the other spot open to maintain flexibility.
