The Miami Heat have found players that perfectly fit their culture over the years.
This team has become really good at picking the right pieces that help them compete and beat the odds.
Slovenian point guard Goran Dragic was one of them, and he still has great memories from his tenure in Miami.
So much so that he recently shared his desire to finish his NBA career with them.
“I live here. My kids are here. If I’m looking to finish my career it would be no brainer to finish it in Miami,” Dragic said. “This is my home. I spent unbelievable seven years here. I love all the players and all the people in the front office. Coach O [Octavio De La Grana), coach Spo [Erik Spoelstra], coach Quinny [Chris Quinn]. Those guys gave me everything.”
All in favor of giving Gogi the Haslem role next season? 🙋🏽♂️🥹

This moves makes a lot of sense, more so if Dragic decides to adopt a Udonis Haslem role with the team and act like a mentor for the younger players.
Their partnership didn’t end well, as Dragic was dealt to the Toronto Raptors in the trade that landed Kyle Lowry in Miami in 2021.
He had incredible moments in Miami, including the 2020 NBA Finals in the bubble.
Dragic dealt with some injuries during that playoff run, but the Heat managed to make it to the biggest series of all and take it to six games against the Los Angeles Lakers.
It seems like he has unfinished business with the Heat and this would be a good opportunity for him.
The Heat are currently playing in the NBA Finals, and if they lose, a couple of additions could help them emulate and improve this performance next season.
Perhaps adding Dragic, who had a tight relationship with Jimmy Butler, can push them to the next level.
