Everyone agrees that Giannis Antetokounmpo is the best player for the Milwaukee Bucks.
If they wish to be a force in the Eastern Conference again, they need Antetokounmpo to play incredibly well.
But Gilbert Arenas thinks the two-time NBA MVP may have a very rough season for one big reason: His brother might not be on the team.
Speaking on his show, via Legion Hoops, Arenas said he thinks Giannis Antetokounmpo will have a bad year because Thanasis Antetokounmpo is not currently signed to the Bucks.
Arenas said:
“Besides Giannis, the most important player on that team was Thanasis. When things don’t go right, he’s looking at his older brother. He’s not on the team? Done!…. This might be his worst year. This is like telling the two Jokic brothers, ‘Go back!’ The person that keep him level-headed… you’re taking away something that’s very important to him.”

Thanasis Antetokounmpo has spent the last five seasons with the Bucks but it’s not clear what’s next for him.
He isn’t expected to play at all in the upcoming season because of a torn Achilles, but the Bucks are still considering bringing him back.
Multiple reports state the Bucks are contemplating trading away MarJon Beauchamp, partly so they can open up a roster spot.
During his five seasons with the Bucks, Thanasis Antetokounmpo has averaged 2.4 points and 1.6 rebounds per game.
He also plays an average of 7.7 minutes per game.
Despite those low numbers, Milwaukee might make a move to keep him because they know how much he helps the team’s chemistry and the mindset of his brother.
If the Bucks don’t move to sign Thanasis Antetokounmpo, it could have a large, negative impact on their most vital star.
