There are many strong rivalries in the NFL.
Most are between teams in the same division who do not like each other.
However, there are a few cities that have multiple teams, which creates a major rivalry.
Look no further than the Big Apple for one of the biggest rivalries in football.
That is between the New York Jets and the New York Giants.
This rivalry got a whole lot spicer this offseason after the Jets acquired quarterback Aaron Rodgers in a trade.
Also, these teams are set to square off in Week 8 of this season.
Rodgers made a recent comment that stirred up the rivalry a bit.
For those who may not know, both the Giants and Jets call MetLife Stadium their home.
According to Dov Kleiman, Rodgers called it “JetLife.”
On Hard Knocks, #Jets QB Aaron Rodgers called "MetLife" stadium, "JetLife" and #Giants WR Sterling Shepard took issue with it via @PLeonardNYDN
"That’s what he called it? "JetLife" stadium? If that’s how he feels then that’s cool. I don’t feel that way. Obviously. I feel like… https://t.co/Zu3hRVCqwp pic.twitter.com/O6QrVsTZKM

Giants wide receiver Sterling Sheppard was not thrilled by that comment from Rodgers, per Pat Leonard.
He said, “I feel like when we step on the turf that’s our home, we want to protect it.”
When these teams square off in Week 8 you can bet there will be some added motivation for the Giants.
It will be a home game for the Giants and you can bet it will mean a lot for them to win.
The Jets have been doing a lot of talking this preseason for a team that has yet to accomplish anything.
They will have a target on their back this season as many opponents will be looking to embarrass them.
This season is going to be a fun one and the Jets/Giants rivalry will play a role in that.
