Down to their last strike at Busch Stadium, the San Francisco Giants pulled off an epic come-from-behind victory over the St. Louis Cardinals on Wednesday afternoon.
With a 5-3 lead, the Cardinals turned to closer Giovanny Gallegos, who came to within one strike of earning a save before Mike Yastrzemski tied the game with a two-run shot.
The Giants then added three unanswered runs in the top of the 10th inning to secure a win over St. Louis.
The Giants also managed to pull off a sweep, improving to 36-32 and extending their lead over the Milwaukee Brewers in the Wild Card race to two games.
After the game, the Giants had a little fun on Twitter, posting a graphic featuring the final score and a caption that read “Fun trip to St. LLLouis.”

The Giants pulled off a late comeback on Monday night to stun the Cardinals faithful and take the first game of the series.
They pounced on Jack Flaherty early in the second game and routed the struggling Redbirds by a final score of 11-3.
After jumping out to an early lead on Wednesday, the Giants fell behind, but ultimately pulled off a stunning comeback victory.
But they clearly had fun writing this tweet.
They took great pleasure in adding to the Cardinals’ misery and stunning the Busch Stadium crowd.
Now, the Giants are rolling, while the Cardinals are mired in yet another losing skid.
