The San Francisco Giants are a team that seems to have found its footing after a difficult start to the season.
One of their key pieces, LaMonte Wade Jr., is having himself a solid season.
The veteran slugger is hitting .285 in his first 179 at-bats of the season with eight home runs, 19 RBI, and an impressive .909 OPS.
But in other areas, he is actually posting better numbers than players such as Juan Soto.
Wade has a 2.5 WAR, which is 13th among qualified hitters in Major League Baseball.
On the other hand, Soto has a 2.2 WAR and is behind Wade in that category.

Wade is also ahead of Soto in other categories as well.
The Giants slugger is seventh in all of baseball with a 151 OPS+, sixth in the majors with a 156 wRC+, and second in on-base percentage with a .429 mark.
His .909 OPS is ninth in the majors.
Soto, on the other hand, has an OPS+ of 148, a 145 wRC+, a .411 on-base percentage, and an OPS of .877.
These are certainly good numbers for the San Diego Padres star.
However Wade, a lesser-known player, has him beat in a few important categories this season.
Wade became a key piece with the Giants back in 2021 when they won 107 games and earned their first NL West title since 2012.
Injuries slowed him down in 2022, but he has returned to form in 2023 and is helping lead the Giants back into postseason contention after they fell short of October a season ago.
Wade certainly is posting some impressive stats this season.
