The San Francisco Giants are a team that has surprised many around the game this season.
Despite barely missing out on free agents such as Carlos Correa and Aaron Judge, San Francisco still brought in Michael Conforto and Mitch Haniger to bolster their roster.
However, they have outperformed their expectations.
One of their key factors has been veteran slugger Wilmer Flores.
Since June 2, the super utilityman has been on quite an impressive run of consistency.
On Twitter, Giants analyst Leo Luna commented on Flores’ consistency and how it may be one of the more underrated aspects of his game, while also including his numbers since June 2.

Since the start of June, Flores is slashing .364/.463/.568 and has a wRC+ of 182.
In addition, Flores has a walk rate of 14.8 percent and a strikeout rate of just 11.1 percent.
Needless to say, Flores has been a key contributor for the Giants this season.
San Francisco owns a record of 47-40 and is currently tied with the Philadelphia Phillies for the final Wild Card spot in the National League.
Flores owns a .266 batting average for the season and has hit eight home runs.
He also has knocked in 24 runs, owns an on-base percentage .332, and a slugging percentage of .457.
The veteran slugger is also valuable in that he can play everywhere in the infield.
With the Giants winning games, Flores has been a force in their lineup in the first half.
San Francisco has certainly surprised people by outperforming their expectations, and Flores has been a key piece of the puzzle.
