Elly De La Cruz has been one of baseball’s most dynamic players since he was called up from Triple-A Louisville by the Cincinnati Reds.
De La Cruz is seemingly a five-tool player, with power, speed, and a strong arm just to name a few.
Throwing him out on the bases is certainly no easy task.
However, San Francisco Giants right-hander Tyler Rogers was able to do just that.
De La Cruz was leading off of second base on Tuesday, but Rogers caught him sleeping and the Giants were ultimately able to retire the speedy Reds star.
MLB posted a video of the moment on Twitter.

De La Cruz can do a little bit of everything on the baseball field.
Running is certainly one of his strong suits.
However, the Giants were able to target him while he was leading off of second base.
Rogers made an impressive pickoff move, which prompted the Reds star to break for third base.
San Francisco then had De La Cruz pinned in a rundown.
The speedy shortstop tried to return to second base before the ball beat him to the bag and he ultimately turned around and broke for third again.
Casey Schmitt tagged him out before he could get there.
But none of that would have been possible without the awareness of Rogers, who knew De La Cruz was well off the bag at second base.
With that awareness, he made the move to try and pick him off, and the Giants were ultimately able to retire the Reds star.
