For the New York Giants to expand on their surprising success last season, they will need to improve their passing game.
That means quarterback Daniel Jones will need to become a more productive passer, but it also means getting bigger numbers from their wide receivers.
In 2022, their most productive wide receiver was Darius Slayton, who had a mere 724 yards and two touchdowns.
This time around, Giants insider Jordan Raanan sees potential in new wideout Parris Campbell, whom he has noticed has been doing well during the team’s minicamp.
Some Giants minicamp takeaways:
1. Parris Campbell looks like he’s going to be a big part of the Giants offense. See him as top producer out of the new WRs this season. At one point Tuesday. He caught three straight passes. Working mostly out of slot.

Campbell, who was the No. 59 pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, spent his first four seasons with the Indianapolis Colts.
He suffered through multiple injuries in his first three years, but last season he started to emerge, putting up 623 yards and three touchdowns while playing in all 17 games.
The Giants were one of the NFL’s big surprises in 2022, as they won six of their first seven games and made the playoffs with a 9-7-1 record.
Once there, they upset the Minnesota Vikings, who had finished 13-4 in the regular season, before falling to the Philadelphia Eagles in the divisional round.
New York recently gave big contract extensions to Jones and star defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence, and they will have a big decision to make on running back Saquon Barkley, who comprises a huge chunk of their offense.
They used their franchise tag on Barkley, and they only have several more weeks to reach an agreement with him in order to keep him in the fold moving forward.
