The Texas Rangers will be headed to the Bay tonight to take on the San Francisco Giants.
This means that Bruce Bochy, who is now managing the Rangers, will be back in San Francisco for the first time since he left.
Bochy led the Giants to three World Series titles in 2010, 2012, and 2014, and helped turn the team into a National League powerhouse.
He also led the Giants to the postseason in 2016.
Those associated with the Giants certainly have fond memories of Bochy and what he was able to accomplish.
On MLB Network’s “High Heat,” Giants broadcaster Mike Krukow discussed Bochy’s time in San Francisco and what he means to the city and the organization.

Krukow referred to Bochy as one of the more significant people in the history of baseball that he got a chance to meet.
The Giants announcer said that it would certainly be strange to see Bochy in a different uniform, but that it wouldn’t matter too much to Giants fans, as a loud standing ovation is expected upon his return.
Bochy managed the Giants for 13 seasons, taking over the position in 2007 and retiring after the 2019 season.
As manager of the Giants, Bochy had a record of 36-17 in the postseason.
Krukow said that Giants fans still love and respect Bochy even years after his departure, and that when they see him in public, they often want to thank him for his contributions.
Krukow also praised Bochy for his success and said that he’s the type of manager that makes you feel like you have a chance to win every game.
