The All-Star Break has come and gone.
The festivities ended last night as the American League defeated the National League in the All-Star Game for the ninth straight year, winning by a final of 3-2.
It was a very briskly played game.
The AL rallied from a 2-0 deficit and won thanks to home runs by Giancarlo Stanton and Byron Buxton.
Stanton was ultimately named the MVP of the game.
But what makes it sweet for the New York Yankees slugger is that he grew up in Southern California, rooting for the Dodgers and going to Dodger Stadium.
Last night, his career came full circle, as he accepted the MVP Award for the game near his hometown.
MLB tweeted a photo of Stanton holding his trophy after the game.

Stanton Shines Back Home
That’s one way to have a homecoming.
Stanton grew up rooting for the Dodgers, and last night, he got to celebrate winning the All-Star Game MVP Award at his old hometown ballpark.
It had to feel good for Stanton to have a nice full circle moment.
First, he hit a two-run homer to tie the game in the top of the fourth.
Then, at the end of the night, he got to celebrate winning a piece of hardware at the ballpark he grew up going to.
To have such a fun night like that is very special and had to have been a good feeling for Stanton.
Though he may be playing for the Yankees, he still got to experience a childhood dream.
He led the way for the American League All-Stars and earned that MVP Award.
You’ve got to love baseball, especially for these special moments.
