The Pittsburgh Steelers are hoping to make a major jump this season.
For that to happen they need quarterback Kenny Pickett to take a leap of his own.
Last season, Pickett started 12 games and led the Steelers to a 7-5 record.
Despite winning some games, his stats were not what many hoped.
He threw seven touchdowns and nine interceptions in those games.
Yet, one spot where Pickett excelled was on game-winning drives.
He had four game-winning drives in 12 games which is not too bad for a rookie.
One player he counted on a bunch was fellow rookie wide receiver George Pickens.
Now both are entering their second season together and things look good in training camp.
Pickens joined “The Rich Eisen Show” to discuss his relationship with Pickett.
He said they are “super good friends off the field,” which makes the on-field things routine.

Pickens has all the talent to be one of the top wide receivers in football.
But he still needs to prove he can be counted on for a full year.
Pickens caught 52 passes for 801 yards and four touchdowns last season.
He is just starting to scratch the surface of his NFL career and much more is expected from him this season.
The Steelers seem to be in playoff contention every season.
Many people know of Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin’s streak of consecutive seasons with a .500 or better record.
It would be a surprise if that streak does not extend another year in 2023.
