Just about everything went wrong for the San Francisco 49ers last season as they finished last in the NFC West following a 2023 season that saw them make it all the way to overtime of the Super Bowl.
Many key players departed this offseason as the team prepares to give a massive contract extension to quarterback Brock Purdy, but one constant who remains is tight end George Kittle, who recently went viral for showing off his incredible power in a workout video.
“49ers superstar TE George Kittle front-squatting 405 [pounds] with ease. Kittle is in the best shape of his career,” Dov Kleiman wrote on X.

A huge wrestling fan, Kittle wore a lifting belt with “American Nightmare” across his back, a nod to WWE champion Cody Rhodes, who will defend his championship against John Cena in the main event of WrestleMania XLI.
Kittle might be skipping any in-ring WrestleMania appearances this year, given how badly the Niners need everyone to stay healthy following last year’s injury-riddled campaign.
With Christian McCaffrey, Deebo Samuel, Brandon Aiyuk and Trent Williams missing extended time last season, Kittle appeared in 15 games and made 78 catches for 1,106 yards and eight touchdowns.
The 49ers’ offense is going to look a lot different next season, but there is no doubt Kittle will be ready to again shoulder a huge burden and help his team back to prominence.
