It was a tale of two vastly different games for the New York Jets to begin the 2023 NFL season.
They were riding high in Week 1 after defeating the Buffalo Bills without an injured Aaron Rodgers.
In Week 2, they put only ten points on the board while the Dallas Cowboys dominated on both ends.
The Jets hope to improve their 1-1 record when they host the New England Patriots in Week 3 at MetLife Stadium.
2022 Offensive Rookie of the Year Garrett Wilson is rallying their troops by referencing the Patriots’ winning streak over the Jets.
Wilson shared during his appearance on the Bart & Hahn podcast, “Fourteen straight is unacceptable. That’s unacceptable. I’m 0-2 against them. That’s unacceptable.”

Wilson’s first game against the six-time Super Bowl champions ended in a 22-17 defeat.
The Patriots defeated them 10-3 a month later.
But that streak stretches for 12 more games.
The Jets’ last victory against the Patriots came on December 27, 2015, when Eric Decker caught a six-yard touchdown pass from Ryan Fitzpatrick in overtime to seal the game.
Eight years after that game, New England has put a stranglehold on their rivalry, which the Patriots lead 73-54-1.
Wilson will try to play a part in ending the Patriots’ winning streak over the Jets.
Luckily for the team, he is trending in the right direction after his numbers from Weeks 1 to 2 have improved.
However, he cannot do it alone if they are to defeat their long-time nemesis.
