Freddie Freeman may be in year two of his six-year, $162 million contract with the Los Angeles Dodgers, but that doesn’t mean that fans of the Atlanta Braves don’t still love him for what he was able to do during his time with the team.
Freeman won a Gold Glove, an MVP, three Silver Slugger Awards, a World Series ring, and was an All-Star five times with the Braves.
The Dodgers and Braves opened up a series at Truist Park on Monday night, and when Freeman stepped up to the plate for the Dodgers, he received a nice standing ovation from the Atlanta faithful.
MLB on FOX provided a video of this touching moment.

With his customary grace, Freeman tipped his helmet to the Braves crowd.
Clearly, there is no love lost between Freeman, the Braves, or Braves fans.
He left the Braves after the 2021 season.
Atlanta had traded for first baseman Matt Olson, prompting Freeman to ultimately choose the Dodgers.
However, that doesn’t mean that the fans in Atlanta don’t still love him.
And Freeman clearly still holds the Braves and their fans in high regard after spending the first 12 seasons of his MLB career with them.
The veteran slugger and six-time All-Star accomplished a lot over the course of his time in Atlanta.
Braves fans still appreciate what he was able to accomplish and clearly still hold their former slugger and MVP in high regard.
The Dodgers won the series opener by a final score of 8-6 and became the first team in the National League to reach 30 wins.
