Isaiah Thomas is back in the NBA.
The point guard had been begging for an opportunity for years, and he finally got it.
So, with the Phoenix Suns signing him to a 10-day contract, head coach Frank Vogel claimed that he knows the whole world was rooting for him (via Duane Rankin).
"I think he's someone the world roots for."

Thomas was a rising star in this league before injuries derailed his career.
He was a two-time All-Star and one of the best scorers in the clutch.
Then, he suffered a hip injury, and was never the same player after being traded by the Boston Celtics.
Teams used to overlook his lack of defensive commitment and ability because of his incredible shot-making skills, but once his shot stopped falling, there was no way to hide him on defense, and not much incentive to play him.
Thomas is the true definition of someone who’s absolutely and madly in love with the game of basketball.
The way he hasn’t given up on his dreams is quite inspiring, and it proves that it’s not even about the money or about being a star or playing heavy minutes; he just wants to prove that he deserves to be in the NBA.
Hopefully, he’ll be able to finish the season on a team’s roster this time, as his career was cut short, but he could still get hot off the bench and give any team a big scoring punch in the second unit.
