The New York Mets stayed hot on Sunday with a 4-3 comeback win over the Oakland Athletics at Oakland Coliseum.
The Mets pulled off a sweep and ran their winning streak up to four games, improving to 10-6 on the year and remaining just two games back of the Atlanta Braves for first place in the stacked NL East division.
New York showed off their power in Sunday’s win.
In the top of the sixth inning, the game was tied at one run apiece with two outs when Francisco Lindor came to the plate.
The star shortstop hit one out to left field for his fourth home run of the year.
That gave the Mets a 2-1 lead.
On Twitter, MLB posted a highlight video of Lindor’s blast.

The Athletics pulled ahead late in the game, but the Mets weren’t done.
Pete Alonso also supplied a little bit of power, tying the game at three in the top of the ninth.
The Mets would go on to win by a final score of 4-3 to secure a sweep over the rebuilding Athletics.
But both Lindor and Alonso supplied some much-needed power for the Mets on Sunday as they remained hot and ran their winning streak up to four games.
Lindor’s shot traveled a long way too, especially when considering the dimensions of the Oakland Coliseum.
It was enough to give the Mets their second lead of the game and put them in position to finish off the A’s.
The Mets will remain on the west coast and start a series with the Los Angeles Dodgers on Monday.
