The picture showed someone running away from a dolphin.
While Tua Tagovailoa left the game with a supposed head injury, he still finished the game with 13 completions for 186 yards and a touchdown.
Jaylen Waddle had 102 receiving yards while Chase Edmonds completed two rushing touchdowns.
Melvin Ingram and Jevon Holland combined for 3.5 sacks.
The Dolphins are the only undefeated team left in the 2022 NFL season.
Moral Win For Buffalo
But in some ways, the game can still be considered a victory for the Bills.
Quarterback Josh Allen kept them in the game by completing 42 passes for 400 yards and two touchdowns.
He also added 47 rushing yards on eight carries.
Miami’s intense heat also took a toll on key players like Stefon Diggs, Isaiah McKenzie, Dawson Knox, and Spencer Brown.
Bills players also sat at shaded benches throughout the game, which did little in limiting the heat.
Worst yet, injuries piled up for Buffalo during their Week 3 game.
Jordan Poyer and Dane Jackson were already ruled out before the showdown versus Miami.
Bates also left the game with a head injury to compound the Bills’ concerns about their offensive line.
Aside from Bates and Brown, center Greg Van Roten also left the game early and was replaced by Greg Mancz.
Wide receiver Jake Kumerow also left with an ankle injury.
Gabriel Davis‘ botched touchdown catch and Matt Milano‘s dropped interception could have tipped the result to Buffalo’s favor.
Still, a two-point loss with a lot of reserves playing extended minutes is an upside for the Bills.
