Cam Johnson of the Brooklyn Nets spent years playing with Devin Booker on the Phoenix Suns.
Therefore, he knows the young guard very well and knows what he is capable of.
Speaking to J.J. Redick on The Old Man & The Three, he summed Booker up in just a few words: “He’s just a killer.”
Devin Booker is a killer.

Redick followed Johnson’s statement up with one of his own.
He remembered a time toward the end of his career when he stepped up to guard Booker.
Even with Redick’s tough defense and shooting without his balance, Booker’s three-pointer still found its way to the basket.
Booker has rightfully earned a reputation as a tough challenge for just about any defender in the league.
His mix of speed, smarts, and flat-out skill from anywhere on the court make him a nightmare for anyone trying to limit his offensive output.
That is why he’s become such an important part of the Suns’ roster and one of the most celebrated guards in the league.
Booker is now the only remaining member from the Suns’ 2021 Finals run.
That means that in many ways, the team has been rebuilt around him at the core of it.
He has a lot of great teammates, including Kevin Durant, Bradley Beal, and now Jusuf Nurkic, among others.
Will that be enough to earn Booker and the Suns their first championship within the next few seasons?
Booker will have many more chances to show just how much of a “killer” he is in the new season.
Will it ultimately end with him earning his first Finals victory?
