The NBA is in great hands these days with all the young talent spread across the league and so many up-and-coming stars ready to take the next steps and lead the league to new heights.
One analyst thinks a particular big man will eventually be at the head of the pack.
Former player and current analyst Ryan Hollins went on “Run It Back” today and said that San Antonio Spurs rookie Victor Wembanyama is the one to watch out for, saying: “I think he is going to be the face of the NBA.”

Hollins pointed out how big guys typically aren’t marketable but that Wembanyama “does things nobody has ever seen before.”
“I think that Pop has taken this as a refining year from Wemby,” Hollins said, adding that this was a year to throw the rookie straight into the deep end and let him figure things out.
It’s a reasonable take, as Wembanyama came to the league with as much hype as any prospect since LeBron James, and he has somehow surpassed all expectations.
Wemby has put up historic numbers as a rookie with averages of 21.3 points, 10.6 rebounds, 3.8 assists, and a league-leading 3.6 blocks per game.
He has gotten better as the season has gone on, with post-All-Star-break numbers of 23 points, 12 rebounds, 5.3 assists, and a jaw-dropping 4.6 blocks and 1.5 steals per game.
There’s no ceiling on Wembanyama’s talent, and the only question might be if fans are ready to embrace a non-American as the face of the league, as guys like Nikola Jokic, Joel Embiid, and Luka Doncic had a ton of success but failed to reach “face of the league” status.
