The Chicago Bears got their hands on one of the most promising and talented quarterback prospects of all time.
Unfortunately, while he showed glimpses of greatness in his rookie season, it became painfully evident that they needed someone else to coach Caleb Williams.
That’s why they hired the best head coaching candidate available for him.
With that in mind, former NFL QB Chase Daniel tipped his hat to the Bears for landing Ben Johnson.
“They got their guy. … It’s going to be something that is revolutionary for the Chicago Bears offense,” Daniel said on “The Facility.”

Over the past couple of years, Johnson turned heads for his work as offensive coordinator for the Detroit Lions.
His creative play designs and schemes orchestrated one of the most entertaining offenses to watch in league history.
Of course, it’s not the same to be an assistant coach as being the man in charge.
There have been multiple great assistant coaches who struggled to find the same success as a head coach in the past, so it’s not time to get too carried away with this hire.
Also, it will depend on what moves the Bears make to address their struggling offensive line.
As talented as Williams is, and as good as Johnson might be as a head coach, they won’t be able to do much if the QB is constantly running for his life.
This was a huge step in the right direction in Chicago, but sustained success will require much more.
