The Minnesota Vikings have officially clinched a spot in the playoffs.
However, they haven’t gotten enough recognition this season.
They’ve lost only two games all year, yet people don’t seem to be very impressed with them.
That’s why LeSean McCoy believes they’re currently the most disrespected team in the National Football League.
Nevertheless, he understands where this comes from, as he doesn’t trust Sam Darnold to lead them to the top.
Talking on FOX’s “The Facility,” the former star running back made a case for the Vikings being a great team with a not-so-great quarterback.
“The Vikings are the most disrespected team in football. But it’s hard for me to buy when your starting QB is Sam Darnold.”

Of course, if history has taught us something, teams with bad quarterbacks rarely fare well in the playoffs.
Then again, we’ve also seen players get their careers back on track after a slow start, which seems to be the case with Darnold.
The Vikings are one of the better-coached teams in the league, and Kevin O’Connell deserves a lot of credit for his work as their coach.
He’s addressed some of Darnold’s most glaring weaknesses, and he’s maximized his strengths.
His arm talent has always been apparent.
The Vikings still have a chance to win the division and have a first-round bye in the NFC.
And while that won’t depend solely on them, the fact that they’re in that position at this point in the season is simply remarkable.
