Not so long ago, Baker Mayfield was expected to be the next big thing in the NFL.
He was taken No. 1 in a draft class that also featured future star quarterbacks like Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson.
Fast forward to today, and it’s safe to say that he’s not on their level.
That’s why even though the Tampa Bay Buccaneers looked very good in their season opener and are coming off winning a playoff game last season, LeSean McCoy still isn’t satisfied with what he’s seen from their quarterback.
Talking on The Facility, the former Philadelphia Eagle claimed that he needed to see more from Mayfield.

He stated that the bar seemed to be very low for Mayfield at this point, and beating bad teams wasn’t going to cut it.
He wants to see them take down teams like the Detroit Lions.
To be fair, Mayfield had the best season of his career last year, and he picked up where he left off last season.
Granted, a 9-8 record isn’t that impressive, but they did win a playoff game.
Also, their losses came vs. the Philadelphia Eagles — which they later beat in the postseason –, Detroit Lions, Atlanta Falcons, Buffalo Bills, Houston Texans, San Francisco 49ers, Indianapolis Colts, and New Orleans Saints.
Two of their losses were at the hands of divisional rivals, and they only lost two games at home all season.
He might not be playing up to a No. 1 pick’s standards, but he’s playing very good football right now.
