Sadly, Greg Oden wasn’t able to spend much time in the NBA, but he is still a loyal fan of the league and everyone who has ever played in it.
Like everyone else, Oden has his favorite players, and he also holds an opinion about who is the greatest star of all time.
David Robinson might be Oden’s favorite player, but he believes LeBron James will eventually be ruled the GOAT.
“My personal greatest of all time is David Robinson. He’s my favorite player. That’s who I grew up watching. That’s who I grew up trying to be like. But I honestly feel like by the time this guy retires, there’s going to be no more evidence against him, and that’s LeBron James,” Oden said.

During his three seasons in the league, Oden was able to play against James multiple times.
He entered the league in 2007, several years after James had become the hottest player in the NBA.
Like others, he witnessed how James was able to dominate every part of the game.
Unfortunately, all of that was happening as Oden faced multiple injury issues, and he eventually left the league after the 2013-14 season.
It makes sense that Oden was such a fan of Robinson because they have similar builds and play the same kind of basketball.
But even though he wanted to be like Robinson, he admired James and everything he brought to the game.
Oden is one of the many people saying that James is the greatest to ever do it.
As his retirement grows closer, it’s likely that more people will speak about him in this context, and the GOAT conversation will get louder.
