The Washington Commanders may soon have new owners, including someone who is well-known by fans of the Philadelphia 76ers.
An ownership group led by Philadelphia 76ers governor Josh Harris has submitted a deal to buy the Commanders from current owner Dan Snyder.
If the deal goes through, Harris will attempt to right the wrongs within the team, hire the right people, and make them contenders again.
That is the exact thing he did with the 76ers.
Ex-NFL player Robert Griffin III took to Twitter to show his excitement for what Harris might do.
“Can’t wait to witness Josh Harris turn around the Washington Commanders like he did the 76ers,” Griffin said.

Harris made moves to buy the Sixers back in 2011.
Back then, the team sat much lower in the East and was wildly different from what it is today.
During Harris’ tenure as the team’s owner, a lot has changed.
They have acquired many stars, including MVP front-runner Joel Embiid who is currently leading the team.
The long journey from dismal to great has been hard and challenging for fans.
They were repeatedly told to “trust the process” and rest assured that the team’s front office was making the right moves for the long-term future.
We don’t know if they will ultimately win the Finals this year but it’s clear that all the hard work and patience has paid off.
Fans of the Commanders should expect a lengthy process too.
If Harris controls the team, he will likely get the right people in place but overnight success shouldn’t be expected.
Will he be able to put together a football team that finds the same success that the Sixers finally have?
