The Pittsburgh Steelers have made the move many of their fans hoped for.
On Tuesday, Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin announced the team relieved offensive coordinator Matt Canada of his duties.
It was a move that was long overdue with how poorly the Steelers have played on offense this year.
Despite their lack of offensive production, the Steelers have a 6-4 record on the year.
They are still in the AFC North race and have a decent shot at the playoffs.
Their defense has done a good job of keeping them in games.
Now it is time for their offense to carry their weight.
Former NFL quarterback Dan Orlovsky appeared on “The Pat McAfee Show” and talked about what changes the Steelers must make to their offense.
He pointed out that quarterback Kenny Pickett will have to push the ball downfield more often.

Taking over the play-calling duties in Pittsburgh will be Mike Sullivan.
Sullivan is the team’s quarterbacks coach and will call plays on gameday.
Working so closely with Pickett, you would think Sullivan has a good idea of his strengths and weaknesses.
He will need to help Pickett become a capable NFL quarterback, which he has yet to show in his young career.
Sometimes mid-season coaching changes can spark a team.
We saw that with the Buffalo Bills when they fired their offensive coordinator.
They proceeded to score 32 points the following week.
Steelers fans would be thrilled with their offense scoring 30+ in a game but that is not realistic.
Pittsburgh is averaging 16.6 points per game on the season.
As long as we see an improvement on that number we know this move was a successful one.
